Goathland village is located at the heart of  the North York Moors, between Pickering and Whitby. It is surrounded by stunning scenery and has its own station on the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway line. Stunning Moorland goes as far as the eye can see and changes with each season that arrives.
The pretty village is home to Aidensfield in the popular T.V series Heartbeat and famous for the first Harry Potter film and Hogsmeade Station.
Olde worlde shops and quaint tea-rooms will transport you back in time, while the surrounding countryside will simply take your breath away. Having a few eating places and pubs to choose from, along with a school and Post Office still in the village.  Goathland is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and steam enthusiasts.

A regular bus service runs through this village, bus number 840, X40 or 842.
